The goal of CSR is to embrace responsibility for the company's actions and encourage a positive impact through its activities on the environment, consumers, employees, communities, stakeholders and all other members of the public sphere who may also be considered as stakeholders

Projects in 2016

  • Outward Bound Training

  • NITF has organized an Outward Bound Training Programme on 17th and 18th December at Laya Leisure Kukuleganga. This programme was conducted by Outward Bound Tust Sri Lanka. NITF's Chief Executive Officer, Sanath C De Silva and staff members were participated to this progremme.



  • Medical equipment donation to the Cancer hospital Maharagama.

  • "Happiness doesn't result from what we get but from what we give." As another project, Welfare Society of National Insurance Trust Fund decided to donate medical equipment to the Cancer hospital Maharagama. The donation of equipment were held on 21st September at the hospital premises. Cancer hospital's director Dr.M.Y.K. Wilfred and members of welfare society participated to this event.



  • NITF Blood doanation

  • Welfare society of National Insurance Trust Fund Board has organized a Blood donation campaign in the view of Poson Poya day on 17th June 2016 in the presence of NITF’s Chairman, Mr.Manjula De Siva and Chief Executive Officer, Mr.Sanath C De Silva at NITF premises.

  • Building Project of Dickellakanda Vidyalaya, Maliboda

  • As another CSR project, Welfare society of National Insurance Trust Fund Board decided to reconstruct and develop a multipurpose building for the educational activities of the children of Dickellakanda Vidyalaya. The opening of the building and donation of the school supplies were held on 18th February. The kids in the school are very talented and study hard and it was a great opportunity to help those children for a better future.

  • Grant of amnesty for two Calves

  • In view of poson poya, two calves were saved from slaughter house and released to living by Chairman, Directors and the staff of National Insurance Trust Fund on 21/06/2013. Before releasing the two calves, there was a sermon delivered by Rev. Vitharandeniye Medhananda Thero indicating the merits gained by rescuing two calves.
